49 degrees 11 minutes North Long Site Map Stones Marina and Boatyard's thirteen acre site is located in the shelter of Newcastle Island Passage in the City of Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The marina and boatyard haul-out facility is centrally located just minutes from BC Ferries Departure Bay terminal and downtown Nanaimo. The facility has unimpeded views of Newcastle Island, a spectacular 700 acre Provincial Park preserved in the heart of Nanaimo's Inner Harbour. Other amenities in the immediate area include the Esso fuel dock, kayak rentals, Canada Customs, marine chandlery, the Buccaneer Inn, Grocery and shopping malls. The site is surrounded by various restaurants offering a variety of seafood and other cuisine. The marina is also in close proximity to the world renowned HMCS Saskatchewan and HMCS Cape Breton wreck dive site at Snake Island and the Rivtow Lion in Departure Bay. |
